• • <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />September 28, 1887, Page 6 <br />Item 10, consider ordinance updating Ordinance 1285, <br />Policemen's Civil Service, was addressed at this time. The <br />information requested by Council, which was the percentage <br />rate of the salary increases, was presented by City Manager <br />Herrera. The increases are as follows: Patrol - over 60 <br />months of tenure, 5.6%; Patrol - over ~8 months of tenure, <br />2%; Sergeants - 7.8%; Lieutenants - 7.5%. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Waters to adopt Ordinance <br />1285-E, updating Policemen's Civil Service. Second by <br />Councilperson Lloyd. The motion carried, g ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, <br />Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />19. Council considered approving a consent agenda: <br />A. Consider awarding bid for Ford dealer parts <br />B. Consider awarding bid for Chevrolet dealer parts <br />C. Consider awarding bid for Chrysler dealer parts <br />D. Consider awarding bid for general auto supplies <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Llovd to approve the consent <br />agenda as recommended by staff. Second by Councilperson <br />Waters. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, <br />Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />20. Administrative Reports <br />Public Works Director Steve Gillett presented an update on <br />the La Porte Area Water Authority. <br />Assistant City Manager John Joerns addressed Council <br />regarding an appointment to the Harris County Appraisal <br />District. A resolution will be presented at the meeting of <br />October 12 for a nomination from the City of La Porte. <br />21. Council Action: <br />Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, <br />Skelton and Clarke brought items to Council's attention. <br />
