Second by <br />Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Gay, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />15. Council considered bids for a copy machine. <br /> <br />Purchasing Manager Louis Rigby recommended that all bids be <br />rejected due to the confusion of some bidders regarding the <br />bid specifications. <br /> <br />MQ~~QP was made bv Councilperson Waters to r~~g~ all bids <br />for a COpy machine and rebid the item. Second by <br />Councilperson Clarke. Administrative Reports: <br /> <br />City Manager Herrera reminded Council of the ribbon cutting <br />ceremony for Fire Station 2, to be held November 10 at 4:30 <br />P.M. <br /> <br />The City Manager suggested to Council a possible workshop <br />meeting on November 16 for a six-month review of Sylvan <br />Beach Convention Center. He also announced that there <br />would be a meeting after the workshop with merchants <br />located on Broadway Street regarding the improvements soon <br />to be made on Broadway, and that any Council member who <br />wished to stay for that meeting would be more than welcome. <br /> <br />17. Council Action <br /> <br />Councilpersons Waters, Matuszak, Porter, Gay, and Skelton <br />brought items to Council's attention. <br /> <br />Councilperson Matuszak requested that someone from City <br />Staff attend a map exercise at the Port of Houston on <br />November 15. <br />
