Ordinance 915-Z. <br />SUMMARY & RECOMMENDATION <br />Union Carbide requests a pipeline permit to install, operate and <br />maintain a pipeline over and across the land within the City of <br />La Porte as shown in Exhibit 2. Union Carbide Corporation states <br />that the pipeline will be installed, operated and maintained in <br />accordance with all Federal,State and local regulations. <br />The pipeline, eight inches (8") in diameter, will transport hydrogen <br />at a design pressure of 720 PSIG and a design temperature of 100' F. <br />Staff recommends approval of the requested pipeline permit.
