The update <br />to the Industrial Waste Ordinance reflects these <br />changes. The ordinance will be brought before the <br />public for input in the near future and a workshop for <br />Council input will be held. <br /> <br />B. Director of Parks and Recreation Stan Sherwood reviewed <br />the status of the expansion of the Jennie Riley <br />Community Center. Some re-design has been done to try <br />to maximize the square footage of the building. A <br />meeting is scheduled for the committee to meet with <br />Cinda Calderone on April 12 to review the plans with <br />her. <br /> <br />17. Administrative Reports <br /> <br />The City Manager asked Council to consider the path they <br />want to take regarding economic development in La Porte. <br />It was decided that a workshop would be held at 6:00 P.M. <br />on April 18 for Council to discuss this item. <br /> <br />18. Council Action <br /> <br />Councilpersons Matuszak, Porter, Skelton and Clarke brought <br />items to Council's attention. <br /> <br />The Mayor called a short recess at 7:45 P.M. and the <br />Council returned to the Council table at 8:03 P.M. <br /> <br />The Mayor read the posting of an emergency meeting of <br />Council to be held April 11 at 8:00 P.M. to discuss with <br />the City Attorney a possible law suit by Houston Chemical <br />Services, Inc. <br /> <br />19. Staff adjourned into executive session at 8:05 P.M. to <br />address the following: <br /> <br />A. Legal - Discuss with City Attorney the purchase of <br />office building <br /> <br />B. Legal - Discuss with City Attorney possible legal <br />action against Jordan Industries, Inc. <br />
