Council considered awarding a contract for construction of <br />the EMS building. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Matuszak to award the <br />contract for construction of the EMS buildini to John <br />Watson Construction, Inc., in the amount of $226,ig9, to <br />include alternate A-1, the ienerator. Second by <br />Councilperson Lloyd. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 <br />nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, Gay, <br />Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />14. Council considered awarding a contract for construction <br />administration services for the EMS building and fire <br />training facility utilities. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilperson Porter to award the <br />construction administration services contract to Stiver <br />Engineering in the amount not to exceed $7,895 without <br />written authorization. Second by Councilperson Shipp. The <br />motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Lloyd, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, Gay, <br />Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br /> <br />15. Council considered approving dedication of an easement to <br />Houston Lighting and Power Company for incoming power to <br />Little Cedar Bayou Park. <br /> <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1584 - AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE OF AN <br />EASEMENT WITH HOUSTON LIGHTING & POWER COMPANY, IN FORM <br />ATTACHED TO THIS ORDINANCE. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Lloyd to adopt Ordinance <br />]584 as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />Shipp. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
