Workshop Item: Review Long Range Planning report <br />Assistant to the City Manager Janie Bais reviewed the plan for <br />promotion and publicity for the public meeting to be held in <br />July. Invitations, advertising, cost, etc., were discussed. <br />Timeline for the first public meeting was also discussed. It <br />was decided that a workshop meeting on June 29 would be held <br />to finalize plans for the public meeting and set a definite <br />date for that meeting. Invitations will be sent to citizens <br />who voted in the last three City elections. City staff was <br />authorized to spend up to $3000 from the Hotel/Motel tax fund <br />for invitations and mailings, etc. <br />17. There were no administrative reports <br />18. Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, Gay, <br />Skelton and Mayor Malone brought items to Council's <br />attention. Staff was directed to look into several items and <br />give a report back to Council. <br />19. Executive Session <br />Council adjourned into executive session at 8:34 P.M. on <br />V.A.T.S. Article 6252-17, Section 2(R), to receive a report <br />from the City Manager on a potential indoor recreational <br />facility for the City. Council returned to the table at 9:28 <br />P.M. <br />The City Manager was instructed to proceed with development of <br />a plan for the indoor .recreational facility. <br />20.
