Second by Councilperson Matuszak. <br /> The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays (Councilperson Porter <br /> had left the meeting at 8:37 P.M.). <br /> Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, Shipp, Gay, <br /> Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br /> Nays: None <br />15. Council considered authorizing additional funds for assistance <br /> in preparation of Tinker/Lovelace litigation. <br /> Motion was made bv Counciloerson ShiDo to aoorove additional <br /> funds in the amount of $12.000 to Turner Collie & Braden for <br /> assistance in oreoaration of the Tinker/Lovelace litigation. <br /> Second by Councilperson Waters. The motion carried, 7 ayes <br /> and 0 nays (Councilperson Porter had left the meeting and <br /> Councilperson Gay was away from the Council table). <br /> Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, Shipp, <br /> Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br /> Nays: None <br />16. Council considered retaining professional consultants to <br /> assist in review of Houston Chemical Services, Inc. , <br /> application. <br /> Motion was made bv Counciloerson Matuszak that the City <br /> Mana~er be authorized to enga~e the services of Drofessional <br /> consultants on an hourly basis to assist the City in <br /> oDDosition to Houston Chemical Services' Dermit aoolication <br /> ~efore the Texas Water Commission. and that the total exoenses <br /> not to exceed $180.000 without Drior aODroval from City <br /> Council. Second by Councilperson Shipp. The motion carried, <br /> 6 ayes and 0 nays (Councilperson Porter had left the meeting <br /> and Councilpersons Gay and Skelton were away from the Council <br /> table) . <br /> Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, Shipp, Clarke <br /> and Mayor Malone <br /> Nays: None <br />17. Council considered awarding a contract for replacement of 2020 <br /> feet of 8 inch sanitary sewer main on East "E" Street. <br />
