Council adjourned into executive session at 7:35 P.M. for the <br />following agenda: Personnel - Discuss appointments to the <br />Airport Advisory Board; Personnel - Discussion with Police <br />Chief and City Manager regarding Police personnel matters; <br />Conference - Receive report from City Manager regarding <br />Economic Development study; Legal - Meet with Attorney to <br />discuss Elizabeth Lane litigation. Council returned to the <br />Council table at 10:13 P.M. <br />Council addressed item 8 - Consider Ordinance Appointing <br />Members to the La Porte Airport Advisory Board. <br />Motion was made by Ma Yor~ Malone to appoint Ms. Debbie Rihn to <br />position ~, term to expire May ~0, 1989. Second by <br />Councilperson Matuszak. <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1632 - AN ORDINANCE <br />APPOINTING A MEMBER, POSITION 3, FOR A TERM TO EXPIRE MAY 30, <br />1989; APPOINTING A FEDERAL AVIATION ADr4INISTRATION <br />REPRESENTATIVE AND AN AIRLINE INDUSTRY REPRESENTATIVE, TO THE <br />CITY OF LA PORTE AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD; COfdTAINING A <br />REPEALING CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIAPICE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS <br />LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />William Gray was appointed FAA representative and Paul Johnson <br />was appointed airline industry representative. <br />The vote was taken and the motion carried, g ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, Porter, Shipp, <br />Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />15.
