There being none, the <br />Mayor declared the public hearing closed. <br />6. Council considered an ordinance granting a pipeline permit to <br />Arco Pipe Line Company. <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 915-AA - AN ORDINANCE <br />GRANTING A PERMIT UNDER SECTION 18-A-3 OF ORDINANCE NO. 915, <br />"PIPELINE TRANSPORTATION," BEING CHAPTER 18-A OF THE CODE OF <br />ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE, TEXAS, DATED NOVEMBER 25, <br />1975, TO CONSTRUCT AN 8-INCH PIPE LINE FOR THE TRANSPORTATION <br />OF ISOBUTANE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Porter to adopt Ordinance <br />915-AA as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />Clarke. Mr. Terry Leppla, representing Arco Pipe Line <br />Company, answered questions from Council. The vote was taken <br />and the motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />7. Council considered a resolution adopting an official zoning <br />map for the City of La Porte. <br />Joel Albrecht, Director of Community Development, advised <br />Council that the new map is one that shows the entire City <br />limits, including the recently annexed BayMUD area and that <br />also incorporates zoning changes that have been made since the <br />adoption of Ordinance 1501. <br />The City Attorney read: RESOLUTION 89-14 - A RESOLUTION <br />ADOPTING A NEW OFFICIAL ZONING MAP FOR THE CITY OF LA PORTE <br />AS PROVIDED BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE ZONING ORDINANCE; FINDING <br />COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN <br />EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to approve Resolution <br />89-14 as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />Cooper. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />8. Council considered appointing a voting delegate and alternate <br />voting delegates for National League of Cities annual Congress <br />of Cities meeting. <br />
