The motion carried, 7 ayes <br />and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, McLaughlin, Porter, <br />Gay, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />13. Council considered awarding a bid for light fixtures and cross <br />arms at Northwest Park. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Waters to award the bid for <br />light fixtures and cross arms at Northwest Park to Superior <br />Electric, in the amount of $7,010.24. Second by Councilperson <br />Porter. The motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, McLaughlin, Porter, <br />Gay, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />14. Under Administrative Reports, City Manager Bob Herrera wished <br />Councilperson Betty Waters a happy birthday. He then reminded <br />Council of the joint workshop meeting with the school board <br />on October 17. <br />City Engineer Steve Wenzel gave an update on the Myrtle Creek <br />traffic situation. He presented a plan to put speed zones at <br />the intersections where the pipeline "hump" is, and hopefully, <br />with cooperation from the State, perhaps stop signs in the <br />near future. <br />15. Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Clarke <br />and Mayor Malone brought items to Council's attention. All <br />who spoke wished Doug de la Morena, Human Resources Manager, <br />the best in his new position with private industry. <br />16. There was no executive session held. <br />17.
