Sease, Fire Chief <br />SUBJECT; EMS DIVISION CHIEF <br />We would like to take this opportunity to announce the <br />appointment of Chris Os -en, as our new E,MS Division Chief, <br />effective February 12, 1990. <br />Chris has a very diverse background which centers around EMS <br />functions, firefighting, and teaching. Most recently Chris was <br />employed by the Cite of Houston Health Department, where he was <br />involved with the training of Houston Fire Department EMT's and <br />ambulance inspect.ion_=. <br />Prior to this, Cori-, was a Firefighter and Paramedic with <br />the City of Corpus Christi, where he received first of class <br />promotions to Firefighter II. <br />Before becoming a Firefighter -Paramedic with the <br />Corpus Christi sire Department, Chris was employed with the <br />Galveston EMS Service, where he was promoted to Paramedic Senior <br />Supervisor. <br />Throughout his EIS career, Chris has been involved in <br />teaching, training, and managing many aspects of the EMS field, <br />and earned the "Texas Paramedic of the Year Award for 1983", by <br />the Texas Emergency Department Nurses Association. <br />Chris' teaching background also includes; Instructor - <br />Coordinator in EMS for the University of Texas Medical Branch <br />Nurses and Personnel, United States Coast Guard, Galveston <br />College in Continuing Education, satellite classes for Volunteer <br />Firefighters and EMS, and taught all levels from basic ECA to <br />Paramedic, to Life Flight personnel. <br />
