Sease, Fire Chief SUBJECT; EMS DIVISION CHIEF We would like to take this opportunity to announce the appointment of Chris Os -en, as our new E,MS Division Chief, effective February 12, 1990. Chris has a very diverse background which centers around EMS functions, firefighting, and teaching. Most recently Chris was employed by the Cite of Houston Health Department, where he was involved with the training of Houston Fire Department EMT's and ambulance inspect.ion_=. Prior to this, Cori-, was a Firefighter and Paramedic with the City of Corpus Christi, where he received first of class promotions to Firefighter II. Before becoming a Firefighter -Paramedic with the Corpus Christi sire Department, Chris was employed with the Galveston EMS Service, where he was promoted to Paramedic Senior Supervisor. Throughout his EIS career, Chris has been involved in teaching, training, and managing many aspects of the EMS field, and earned the "Texas Paramedic of the Year Award for 1983", by the Texas Emergency Department Nurses Association. Chris' teaching background also includes; Instructor - Coordinator in EMS for the University of Texas Medical Branch Nurses and Personnel, United States Coast Guard, Galveston College in Continuing Education, satellite classes for Volunteer Firefighters and EMS, and taught all levels from basic ECA to Paramedic, to Life Flight personnel.
