<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Public Hearing and Regular Meeting <br />La Porte City Council <br />March 12, 1990, Page 6 <br /> <br />The City Attorney read ORDINANCE 1689, giving the legal <br />description as LOT 20, BLOCK 10, SYLVAN BEACH FIRST ADDITION, <br />(HOUSE #2), and the owner of record to be WYNDHAM RAY RHODEN. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to adopt Ordinance <br />1689 as read by the City Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />Waters. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />None <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />19. Council considered an ordinance declaring the building located <br />on lot 5-C, Shady Oaks Subdivision, to be a nuisance. <br /> <br />The City Attorney read ORDINANCE 1690, giving the legal <br />description as LOT 5-C, SHADY OAKS SUBDIVISION, and the owner <br />of record as JERRY AND CONNIE ROMERO. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Waters to adopt Ordinance <br />1690 as read by the city Attorney. Second by Councilperson <br />Skelton. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />None <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />20. Council considered an ordinance closing streets and alleys <br />for International Cargo Network (ICN). <br /> <br />The City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 1691 - AN ORDINANCE <br />VACATING, ABANDONING AND CLOSING PORTIONS OF TYLER STREET, <br />MADISON STREET, IOWA STREET, KANSAS STREET, UTAH STREET, AND <br />THE ALLEYS IN BLOCKS 416, 417, 418, 419, 432, 433, 434 AND <br />435, IN THE TOWN OF LA PORTE, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS; ABANDONING <br />CERTAIN PUBLIC UTILITY EASEMENTS; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING CERTAIN CONDITIONS PRECEDENT <br />TO THE EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Mr. Askins pointed out four conditions set out in the <br />ordinance that would have to be met by ICN before the <br />ordinance would be in effect. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to adopt Ordinance <br />1691 as read bv the City Attornev.
