<br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />March 26, 1990, Page 4 <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />11. Council considered approving purchase of cutting reels with <br />turf groomers and grass catchers from Watson Distributing <br />Company as sole source vendor. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to approve the <br />purchase from Watson Distributing Companv in the amount of <br />$5,747.00. Second by Councilperson Cooper. The motion <br />carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />12. Council considered awarding a bid for vinyl inner tubes. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Waters to award the bid for <br />item 1 to Sevylor USA in the amount of $2.685.00; the bid for <br />item 2 to Talbert and Associates in the amount of 51.200; and <br />to reject the bid for item 3. Second by Councilperson Clarke. <br />The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />13. There were no administrative reports. <br />14. Council Action - Councilpersons Waters, Cooper, Matuszak, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />brought items to Council's attention. <br />15. Council adjourned into executive session at 8:17 P.M. to <br />address items not covered in the first executive session. The <br />items were as follows: (1) Legal - Meet with City Attorney <br />regarding possible litigation concerning unauthorized use of <br />public right-of-way; (2) Personnel - Receive briefing from <br />City Attorney on proposed drug testing policies. Council <br />returned to the table at 9:45 P.M. <br />16.
