The City Manager announced that the City is now the proud <br />owner of a new Multi-Purpose Center. The bowling alley <br />building on Broadway has been purchased by the city for <br />this use. Mr. Herrera asked for direction from the Mayor <br />on how to proceed with this project. It will be put on <br />the April 23 agenda as a workshop item. <br /> <br />14. Council Action: Councilpersons Cooper, Matuszak, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone brought items <br />to Council's attention. <br /> <br />15. Council adjourned into executive session at 8:29 P.M. to <br />address two items under Article 6252-17, section 2(R) <br />(Conference), as follows: (A) Receive report from City <br />Manager regarding a Community Block Grant; (B) Receive report <br />from city Manager regarding drug testing policies. Council <br />returned to the table at 9:45 P.M. <br /> <br />Under item A, the City Manager was directed to pursue the <br />Block Grant; and under item B, the City Manager was directed <br />to continue preparation of drug testing policies. <br /> <br />16.
