The purpose of this request <br />is to allow permanent placement of a portable storage <br />building on the church's property located at 10401 Belfast <br />Drive in Fairmont Park. <br /> <br />The building is to be used for church storage. Under <br />the requirements of Ordinance 1501, Section 5-600, Table A, <br />a Special Conditional Use Permit is required before this or <br />any other expansion of a religious facility may take place <br />in an R-1, residential zone. <br /> <br />Recommendation: <br /> <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission, by unanimous vote, <br />has recommended denial of this request. <br /> <br />Options: <br /> <br />I. Approve Special Conditional Use Permit nSCU90-001: <br /> <br />A. As requested by applicants <br />B. With added conditions <br /> <br />II. Table SCU90-00l for further consideration at a future <br />date. <br /> <br />III. Deny SCU90-001 as recommended by Planning and Zoning <br />Commission. <br /> <br />NOTE: Zoning Ordinance Section 11-507.8 states: "The <br />affirmative vote of at least three fourths (3/4) of the <br />City Council is required to overrule a recommendation <br />of the City Planning and Zoning Commission that a <br />proposed change to this Ordinance or boundary be <br />denied." <br /> <br />Zoning Ordinance Section 10-201.5 states: "Every <br />Special Conditional Use Permit granted as provided <br />herein shall be considered as an amendment to the <br />Zoning Ordinance as applicable to such property. <br /> <br />A three quarter (3/4) majority of Council must vote to <br />approve SCU90-001 in order for it to be granted. <br />
