WHAT K~DS OF PROJECTS DOES TH~AGENCY FUND? <br />Water and sewer improvements such as sliplining, increasing the size of pipes, <br />installing new lines; <br />Construction of community centers, street and drainage improvements; <br />Park development, beautification, demolition of unsafe structures; <br />Technical assistance, (needs assessment, program planning, etc.); <br />Small business loans; <br />Public services, such as transportation to and from medical facilities, counseling for <br />troubled youths, shelter funding, and <br />Rehabilitation of owner-occupied sub-standard homes. <br />ARE THERE SPECIFIC AREAS WHERE THE PROGRAM OPERATES? <br />Low and moderate income communities are targeted for community development block grant <br />activities.
