FINI~I;NG COMPLIANCE <br />WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />HEREOF. <br />4JHEREAS, the City of La Porte desires to reyulate the <br />closing hours for the sale of beer by retailers selliny bee r <br />for co~isumption on premises in accord with provisions of Article <br />667-10-1/2 of the Penal Code of the State of Texas. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I3E I'P ORDAINED E3Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THI: <br />CITY OF I,A PORTE: <br />Section 1. In addition to the locations specified in Sec- <br />tion 1 of Ordinance No. 1000, passed and approved by the City <br />Commission of the City of La Porte on August 19, 1974, tl~-e sale <br />of beer shall also be permitted during the hours set by the <br />general laws of tl~e State of Texas at the following location <br />by a retailer selling beer Cor consumption on premises, to-wit: <br />The property located at 1018 Hwy. <br />146 S., La Porte, Harris County, <br />Texas, known as "Tooney's," beiny <br />more pa r.ticularly described as <br />Lots Twenty-five (25) through <br />Twenty-eight (28), both inclusive, <br />and a part oL- Lot Twenty-nine (29), <br />Block One Flundred Sixty-nine (169), <br />Town of La Porte, E}ar.ris County, <br />Texas, reference to which is here <br />made for all purposes. <br />Section 2. The sale of beer at said location shall be <br />permitted only in connection with the sale of- food. <br />Section 3. Exc:el~t and to the extent amended Hereby, Ordi- <br />Hance No. 1000 shalt remain in full force and effect. <br />Section 4. Tl~e City Council officially finds, deter- <br />mines, recites and declares that a sufficient written notice <br />of the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the <br />City Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at <br />
