Said sum <br />;~ <br />shall be used to pay for the advertising of such applioation In <br />the newspaper for two (2) consecutive weeks. Within ititeen (ib) <br />days after receiving such sum and qualifying data, the city shall <br />cause to be publistred In the newspaper !or two (2) consecutive <br />weeks a notice to all holders of auto wrHClcer permlts and all <br />other Lnte:rested persons. Such notice shall advertise the time <br />and place nt public hearing, whtclr said hear°li~g shall be held not <br />less than twenty (20) days from the date of the first <br />publication. Such notice shall give the name of the applicant, <br />the name of the business under which the applicant proposes to <br />operate and any other pertinent data that the Clty Secretary may <br />deem necessary. If such deposit is !n excess of the cost of <br />advertising, the Clty Secretary strall cause such excess to be <br />returned to the applicant and llkawlse tt tha amount Is <br />insufficient to pay the post of the advortlsl:rgy the Clty <br />Secretary shall then require the applicant to pay for the <br />deficiency. liearings and 1nvQStlgatlon for the purpose of <br />determining whether or not the application tar an auto wrecker <br />permit will be granted, based upon the number of permlts <br />outstanding; and whether or not the granting of the application <br />will not b~ detrimental to the public convenience and necessity <br />shall be ;heard before the committee at the time and place <br />designated. <br />(d) The comml~tee shall have in attendance at such hearing a <br />representative from the city legal department, and any other <br />persons that !t may deem necessary to conduct said hearing. At <br />the tlse of the hearings and investigation with reference to <br />whether or not public convenience and necessity exists for the <br />Issuance of such peroolts, the committee shall consider all the <br />evidence of the applicant and his witnesses: It shall further <br />hear,, all the evidence of any protestants and their witnesses and <br />shall have the right to oall such other. witnesses as the <br />oouncilmen may deem necessary. <br />
