i ~ • 1 <br />I <br /> <br />Ordinance 1746, Page 18 <br />t <br />i <br />(e) In the event a wreaker service company is requested by the Police <br />Department to make.a call and the company agrees to make said call then the <br />company shall proceed immediately to the scene where !t is directed and <br />shall be given a twenty (20) minute time trams to reach said location. Ii <br />the wrecker service company answering said call has not reached said <br />location ~withln a twenty (20) minutes then the attlcer at the scene may <br />proceed to call the next wrecker service company on the list and that <br />company shall have {~rlorlty ovor that parttoular call. In the event that <br />the wrecker service company called falls to comply wfth the provisions of <br />the ordinance by proceeding to the designated pla~:e within the time <br />specified above then this wrecker service company shall, be removed from the <br />top of the list and placed at the bottom of the list. <br />(i) Thls section only applies to acoldent scenes and not to custodial <br />arrests. The twenty '(20) minute time trams does not apply if the officer <br />In charge deems the situation to be too dangerous In nature to watt that <br />period of time. <br />Sec 6-20 Specifications and Required Egulnment. <br />(a) pjni~.y~m Slze. Each auto wrecker and emergency auto wrecker shall <br />not be less than one (1) ton In size and shall be equipped with booster <br />brakes. <br />(b) standards of Winch. Cacti auto wreoker and emergency auto wrecker <br />shall be equipped with a power take-off operated winch, winch line and <br />boom, with a faotor~r rated lifting capaolty (or city tested capacity) of <br />not• less than tive~thousand (5,000) pounds, single, line capacity. The <br />winch line shall be three-eights (3/8) Inch !n diameter. <br />(c) Flashing I.,i¢ht. Cacti auto wrecker and enea•gency auto wrecker <br />shall have a tlashing light of at least four (4) Inches in diameter on the <br />top of the cab, as pt•escrtbed or permitted by State law, visible from both <br />the front and rear of the truck. <br />(d) Wheels and Tires. Each auto wreoker and emergency auto wreoker <br />shall have dual wheels on the rear with heavy duty tires thereon. <br />
