<br />RESOLUTION <br />9/ - o~ ~ .- <br />RESOLUTION APPROVING A JOINT RESOLUTION BETWEEN THE <br />CITIES OF LA FORTE, MORGANS POINT AND SHOREACRES <br />ESTABLISHING A LOCAL EMERGENCY PLANNING COMMITTEE <br />WHEREAS, Federal Law 99-999 and the Texas Emergency Response Commission <br />have established requirements for hazardous materials, emergency planning and <br />Community-Right-to-Know; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cities of La Porte, Morgans Point and Shoreacres are <br />neighboring Cities which have individually established comprehensive emergency <br />management plans for all hazards that might affect their communities; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cities share common interest in developing plans for <br />response to hazardous chemical spills and releases; and <br />WHEREAS, the Cities share in various ways many common elements of hazard <br />response such as fire, police, and emergency medical personnel; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Council of the City of La Porte, <br />State of Texas, that, the city approve a ioint resolution establishing the La <br />Porte Area Community Awareness Emergency Response/Local Emergency Planning <br />Committee which, with representation from local industry, will meet as deemed <br />necessary to develop and review ioint hazardous materials emergency response <br />procedures and emergency plans in order to assure that all actions required by <br />law are properly administered, a copy of which is attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein by reference. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED, this day of , 1991 <br />County of Texas <br />MAYOR <br />ATTEST: <br />City Secretary <br />I, Cherie Black, City Secretary for the City of La Porte, do hereby certify <br />this to be a true and exact copy of hte City of La Porte Resolution Number <br />adopted by La Porte City Council, (date) <br />
