MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE LA PORTE CITY COUNCIL JUNE 10, 1991 1. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Malone at 6:00 P.M. Members of City Council Present: Mayor Norman Malone, Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Mike Cooper, Bob Thrower, Bob McLaughlin, Alton Porter, Deotis Gay, B. Don Skelton, Jerry Clarke Members of City Council Absent: None Members of City Staff Present: City Manager Bob Herrera, City Attorney Knox Askins, City Secretary Cherie Black, Assistant City Manager John Joerns, Director of Community Development Joel Albrecht, Director of Finance Jeff Litchfield, Police Chief Bobby Powell, Director of Public Works Steve Gillett, Fire Chief Joe Sease, City Engineer Bill Manning Others Present: Representatives from Arkla Exploration; representatives from Dana Transport; five citizens 2. The invocation was given by Councilperson McLaughlin. 3. Council considered approving the minutes of the special called meeting held May 14, 1991. Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to approve the May 14 minutes as presented. Second by Councilperson McLaughlin. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays (Councilperson Gay was away from the table). Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Porter, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None 4. Council considered approving the minutes of the called regular meeting held May 20, 1991. Motion was made by Councilperson Sutherland to approve the May 20 minutes as presented. Second by Councilperson Clarke. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays (Councilperson Gay was away from the table). Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Porter, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone Nays: None 5. Council considered approving the minutes of the special called meeting held May 28, 1991.
