All work associated with the installation of the traffic signals shall cnnfnrm with the TP_XaS Manual On TTni form Traff i c Cnntrnl Tlevi cec _ STATE OF TEXAS COUNTY OF TRAVIS AGREEMENT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, OPERATION AND MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC SIGNALS (1988-92 Pass Program) THIS AGREEMENT, is made by and between the State of Texas, acting by and through the State Department of Highways and Public Transportation, hereinafter called the "STATE", and the City of LaPorte, Harris County, Texas acting by and through its duly authorized officers under an Ordinance, passed the day of , 19_, hereinafter called the "CITY". W I T N E S S E T H WHEREAS, the CITY has authorized the installation of traffic signals by Ordinance, passed on the day of 19 , at the location(s) shown on EXHIBIT 1, attached hereto and made apart hereof; and WHEREAS, on the 28th day of June 1988, the State Highway and Public Transportation Commission passed Commission Minute Order No. 87495 adopting the 1988-1992 Urban System/Principal Arterial Street System Program (Major Urbanized Areas) authorizing the STATE to install highway ,traffic signals in metropolitan areas with a population of 200,000 or more and in cities with a population under 200,000 (Non-Major Urbanized Areas); and WHEREAS, the STATE wishes to cooperate with the CITY in the installation of the traffic signal(s) at the location(s) shown on EXHIBIT 1; A G R E E M E N T NOW, therefore, in consideration of the premises and of the mutual covenants and agreements of the parties hereto to be by them respectively kept and performed, as hereinafter set forth, it is agreed as follows: 1. This agreement shall apply to all highway traffic signal installation(s) at the location(s) identified in EXHIBIT 1 approved by both the State and the CITY. The CITY will indicate its approval by having the signature of the MAYOR on the plan title sheet for such installation.
