<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Minutes, Regular Meeting, La Porte City Council <br />August 26, 1991, Page 5 <br /> <br />Councilperson Gay requested that a receipt be obtained from <br />the demolition company showing that the debris was disposed <br />of at the proper landfill. This would protect the City from <br />being involved in any litigation. <br /> <br />The vote was taken and carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, Porter, <br />Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />None <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Councilperson Gay reminded the Mayor that the item was voted <br />on without the amendment being added. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv CouncilDerson Sutherland to require Droof <br />of disDosal of asbestos material at the Droper landfill. <br />Second by Councilperson Skelton. The motion carried, 8 ayes <br />and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, Porter, <br />Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />None <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />13. Council considered a consent agenda, as follows: (A) Consider <br />awarding a bid for five inch fire hose; (B) Consider awarding <br />a bid for tank demolition. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv CouncilDerson Skelton to apDrove the <br />consent agenda as Dresented. Second by Councilperson Cooper. <br />The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, Porter, <br />Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />None <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />14. Administrative Reports - Mr. Herrera reminded Council of a <br />memorandum he had sent which reported that staff has completed <br />the review of the proposed personnel policies and it was ready <br />for Council's review, and recommended the appointment of the <br />audit committee to review the pOlicies. He had spoken with <br />Mayor Pro Tem McLaughlin regarding this while the Mayor was <br />out of the city, but had not touched base with him recently. <br />He asked that the review be done as soon as possible so that <br />the policies could be implemented by the first of the year. <br /> <br />The Bayshore water tower refurbishing is complete. <br /> <br />The executive session will be regarding proposed airport <br />improvements. <br />
