This would protect the City from being involved in any litigation. The vote was taken and carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. Nays: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone None Ayes: Councilperson Gay reminded the Mayor that the item was voted on without the amendment being added. Motion was made bv CouncilDerson Sutherland to require Droof of disDosal of asbestos material at the Droper landfill. Second by Councilperson Skelton. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. Nays: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone None Ayes: 13. Council considered a consent agenda, as follows: (A) Consider awarding a bid for five inch fire hose; (B) Consider awarding a bid for tank demolition. Motion was made bv CouncilDerson Skelton to apDrove the consent agenda as Dresented. Second by Councilperson Cooper. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. Administrative Reports - Mr. Herrera reminded Council of a memorandum he had sent which reported that staff has completed the review of the proposed personnel policies and it was ready for Council's review, and recommended the appointment of the audit committee to review the pOlicies. He had spoken with Mayor Pro Tem McLaughlin regarding this while the Mayor was out of the city, but had not touched base with him recently. He asked that the review be done as soon as possible so that the policies could be implemented by the first of the year. The Bayshore water tower refurbishing is complete. The executive session will be regarding proposed airport improvements.
