<br />National League of Cities <br />Annual Congress of Cities <br />Number of Votes - Direct Member Cities <br />Article IV, Section 2 of NLC's Bylaws specifies as follows the <br />number of votes which each member city of the National League of <br />Cities is entitled to cast at the Annual Congress of Cities: <br />City Population ( per 1980 census) <br />Number of Votes <br />Under 50,000 <br />50,000 - 99,999 <br />100,000 - 199,999 <br />200,000 - 299,999 <br />300,000 - 399,999 <br />400,000 - 499,999 <br />500,000 - 599,999 <br />600,000 - 699,999 <br />700,000 - 799,999 <br />800,000 - 899,999 <br />900,000 and above <br />1 vote <br />2 votes <br />4 votes <br />6 votes <br />8 votes <br />10 votes <br />12 votes <br />14 votes <br />16 votes <br />18 votes <br />20 votes <br />Note: Member cities are required by the Bylaws to cast unanimous <br />votes. <br />*1990 census counts will not be used for dues or voting <br />purposes until 1992. <br />
