<br />Minutes, Regular Meeting <br />and Public Hearing City Council <br />September 23, 1991, Page 7 <br />Item A - no action was taken; Item B - no action was taken; <br />Item C (Agenda Item 15) Consider authorizing the City Manager <br />to Purchase Property Located 'at 1302 South Broadway For the <br />City's Sport Program. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Thrower to authorize the City <br />Manaaer to purchase property located at 1302 South Broadway. <br />Second by Councilperson Cooper. Motion carried 8 ayes and 0 <br />nays (Councilperson Gay was absent from the Council table). <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />Nays: None <br />Item D - no action was taken; Item E - no action was taken <br />City Attorney Knox Askins was away from the council table. <br />Councilperson Skelton asked that Council bring item 12 back <br />to the Council table and amend the ordinance to read - <br />ORDINANCE 1784 - AN ORDINANCE DECLARING THAT IT SHALL BE <br />UNLAWFUL FOR ANY PERSON TO TRAP, HUNT, SHOOT OR ATTEMPT TO <br />SHOOT OR MOLEST IN ANY MANNER, ANY dAME ANIMAL; PROVIDING THAT <br />ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THIS ORDINANCE SHALL BE <br />DEEMED GUILTY OF A MISDEMEANOR AND UPON CONVICTION SHALL BE <br />FINED IN A SUM NOT TO EXCEED TWO HUNDRED DOLLARS ($200.00); <br />PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE <br />OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />Councilperson Skelton also stated an addition to Section 1. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to trap, hunt, shoot or <br />attempt to shoot or molest in any manner, any QAME animal, AS <br />DEFINED BY TEBAS PARRS & WILDLIFE. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to pass Ordinance <br />1784 as amended. Second by Councilperson Porter. The motion <br />carried, 8 ayes, 0 nays. Councilperson Gay was away from the <br />Council table. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor <br />Malone. <br />Nays: None <br />
