Council considered a consent agenda, as follows: (A) consider <br />awarding a bid for polymer and (B) consider awarding a bid for <br />tee shirts. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv CouncilDerson Clarke to aDDrove the consent <br />aaenda as Dresented. Second by Councilperson Sutherland. The <br />motion carried, 7 ayes and 0 nays. <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />councilpersons Sutherland, Thrower, Porter, Gay, <br />Skelton, Clarke and Mayor Malone <br />None <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />20. Administrative Reports: Councilperson Gay addressed Council <br />regarding a draft resolution he proposes be taken to the Texas <br />Municipal League for consideration. The resolution regards <br />proposed re-districting for Congressional, State of Texas, and <br />Texas political subdivisions. <br /> <br />Council consensus was that it is a good idea and asked that <br />an emergency meeting be called for Thursday, October 17, to <br />take action on this item. <br /> <br />21. Councilpersons Porter and Skelton brought items to Council's <br />attention. <br /> <br />22. Council adjourned into executive session at 7:23 P.M. to <br />address the following: (A) Legal - discuss pending law suits <br />with City Attorney; (B) Report - receive a report from the <br />city Manager on East "E" Street; (C) Report - receive report <br />from city Manager on Port Auto Truck stop. Council returned <br />to the table at 8:43 P.M. The Mayor announced no action taken <br />on any executive session item. <br /> <br />23.
