Council considered amending Ordinance No. 1501, The City of <br />La Porte Zoning Ordinance, Article III, section 3-100; Article <br />IV, section 4-400; Article V, Section 5-701, section 5-800; <br />Article VI, section 6-400 & section 6-600; Article X, section <br />10-300, section 10-304, section 10-401, section 10-500 & <br />section 10-1000 (Ord. 1501-N). <br /> <br />City Attorney Knox Askins read: ORDINANCE 1501-N - AN <br />ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE 1501, THE CITY OF LA PORTE ZONING <br />ORDINANCE, ARTICLE III, SECTION 3-100; ARTICLE IV, SECTION 4- <br />400; ARTICLE V, SECTION 5-701, SECTION 5-800; ARTICLE VI, <br />SECTION 6-400; SECTION 6-600; ARTICLE X, SECTION 10-300, <br />SECTION 10-304, SECTION 10-401, SECTION 10-500 & SECTION 10- <br />1000; PROVIDING THAT ANY PERSON VIOLATING THE TERMS OF THIS <br />ORDINANCE SHALL BE FINED A SUM OF NOT MORE THAN ONE THOUSAND <br />DOLLARS ($1,000.00) FOR EACH VIOLATION; FINDING COMPLIANCE <br />WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; <br />AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made bv Councilperson Skelton to adopt Ordinance <br />1501-N as read by the city Attornev. Second by Councilperson <br />Sutherland. <br /> <br />Councilperson Porter made a motion to table the entire <br />ordinance in order to develop further information and legal <br />language and to have this ready for the next regular meetina <br />on January 13th.
