• • <br />Minutes, Public Hearing and Regular Meeting <br />La Porte City Council <br />January 27, 1992, Page 3 <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Cooper to approve the Special <br />Conditional Use Permit request. Second by Councilperson Gay. <br />Second by Councilperson Clarke. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to amend the motion <br />to reflect that in the event the highway is widened, the <br />special conditional use would have to be reconsidered. Second <br />by Councilperson Thrower. <br />After discussion, consensus was that the City could not <br />approve landscaping to be done on County right-of-way. <br />Councilperson Skelton withdrew his amendment and Councilperson <br />Thrower withdrew his second. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Porter to table this item. <br />Second by Councilperson Clarke. The motion carried, 9 ayes <br />and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor <br />Malone <br />Nays: None <br />10. Council considered instructing the Director of Finance to <br />amend the EMS Capital outlay budget. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to instruct the <br />Director of Finance to amend the EMS capital outlay budget by <br />Si,iOO, which represents the amount donated for EMS <br />improvements by Axzo Chemical and FMC Corporation. Second by <br />Councilperson Thrower. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Skelton, Clarke and Mayor <br />Malone <br />Nays: None <br />11. Council considered awarding a bid for golf course equipment. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to award a bid for <br />golf course equipment to Brookside Equipment Sales for the <br />greens mower. Second by Councilperson Cooper. The motion <br />carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />
