Exhibits: Report Resolution XX Ordinance SUNIIKARY & RECOMMENDATION Advertised, sealed bids #0043 for the sitting service room were opened and read on July 13, 1992. Bid requests were mailed to eight (8) suppliers with one (1) returning bid. The following specifications were asked to be met 1. Must be a State licensed and bonded Day Care Service. 2. Must offer service to children two (2) years through ten (10) years of age. Insurance requirements stated the indemnitor shall, at its sole cost and expense, maintain in effect at all times insurance coverages with limits not less .than those set forth in the Schedule of Insurance Coverages with insurance companies licensed to do business in the State of Texas (with a Best's rating of no less than A) and acceptable to Indemnitees and under forms of policies satisfactory to Indemnitees. The only returning bid was from Sweet Pee's Day Care in La Porte. Sweet Pee's did meet the specifications. Sweet Pee's Sitting Service agrees to pay the City a monthly rate of 28$ of gross earnings for the sitting service per month. Further, as part of the bid, Sweet Pee's Sitting Service agrees to charge to the public the price of $3.00 per child per hour, with a minimum of one (1) hour and maximum of three (3) hours. Staff recommends approval of Sweet Pee's Day Care Service for the term of the contract to be one (1) year, with an option for the City to renew for a total of three (3) additional years. Action Required by Council: Approve contract with Sweet Pee' s Day Care Service to provide a sitting service for La Porte Recreation/Fitness Center.
