Box 1 1 1 5 • LA PO RTE, TEXAS 77572 <br />Honorable Mayor Norman Malone <br />and City Council, City of La Porte <br />Re: Special Conditional Use Permit Request #SCU92-001 <br />Dear Mayor Malone, <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission at it's August 20, 1992, public hearing and regular <br />meeting considered Special Conditional Use Permit Request #SCU92-001. This request has <br />been submitted by Ronnie and Melody Elledge who reside at 11002 Monument Road in the <br />Battleground Estates Subdivision. The purpose of the requested permit is to allow the <br />Elledges to house livestock on a 1.44 acre tract of land located directly across the street <br />from their home. The tract is comprised of several contiguous subdivision lots. The legal <br />description of the property is as follows: Lots 36-47; Block 3; Battleground Estates, Section <br />I. <br />The applicants propose to fence the property, construct a 624 square foot barn, and house <br />a maximum of two (2) head of livestock. Livestock on the property is to be limited to <br />animals being raised as 4H and FFA projects by the applicants' children. <br />After considering this request, the Planning and Zoning Commission, by unanimous vote of <br />members present, recommended approval of this Special Conditional Use Permit subject to <br />the following conditions: <br />I. Fencing shall be setback at least 25 feet from side property lines. <br />II. A maximum of two (2) head of livestock shall be housed on this <br />property at any time. <br />III.
