• <br />Minutes, Public Hearings <br />La Porte City Council <br />September 14, 1992, Page <br />and Regular Meeting <br />6 <br /> <br />16. Council considered setting a public hearing date to consider <br />condemnation of dangerous buildings. <br />Inspector Mark Lewis presented to Council dangerous building <br />inspection reports and a video presentation of the six <br />targeted structures. Council agreed to an October 12th Public <br />Hearing date. <br />17. Council considered authorizing emergency repairs and approve <br />payment for replacement of failed air conditioner compressor <br />at City Hall. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Clarke to authorize emergency <br />repairs and approve payment to Bay Refrigeration for <br />replacement of failed air conditioner compressor at Citv Hall. <br />Second by Councilperson Gay. The motion carried, 9 ayes and <br />0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor <br />Malone <br />Nays: None <br />18. Council considered a consent agenda, as follows: (A) Consider <br />awarding bid for roof for Fire Station #3; (B) Consider <br />awarding bid for aggregate for surface treatment; (C) Consider <br />awarding bid for the annual supply of reinforced concrete <br />pipe. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Porter to approve the consent <br />~aenda as presented. Second by Councilperson Thrower. The <br />motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, <br />McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor <br />Malone <br />Nays: None <br />19. Administrative Reports <br />Mr. Herrera reminded the Council that the Dow tour to Freeport <br />to view the industrial incinerator is scheduled for tomorrow <br />morning. The Mayor stated everyone is supposed to meet at the <br />Post Office and leave at 7:30 A.M. <br />
