Office of the 1V~ayor <br /> <br />x <br />~~ <br />~~x~e~~i : The United States Postal Service employees purpose <br />is to perform a vital service for our community and <br />each of our residents; and <br />WHEREAS, Post Master Charles Gunnels, Mail and Delivery Supervisor Patsy <br />Meza and Postal Operation Superintendent Ray Escobedo represent 100 years of dedicated <br />service to our community and its residents; and <br />WHEREAS, their combined years of service fall within the Centennial year <br />celebration of the City of La Porte; and <br />WHEREAS, it is in the mutual interest of these three individuals to cooperate <br />with the postal service in its public service prog-nrtls designed to promote general welfare <br />and serve the common good of our community; <br />WHEREAS, we recognize these three individuals for their continued unselfish <br />endeavors and accomplishments. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, NORMAN L. MALONE, MAYOR of the City <br />of La Porte, do hereby proclaim the week of September 14 through 20,-1992, as <br />CHARLES GUNNELS, PATSY MEZA, RAY ESCOBEDO <br />APPRECIATION WEEK <br />in the City of La Porte, and encourage all citizens to recognize their contributions to <br />advancement of technology and accuracy in our postal service. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my Band and caused the <br />Seal of the City to be affixed hereto, this the 14th day of September, 1992. <br />CITY OF LA PORTE <br />Norman L.
