Office of the Mayor <br />x <br />Lou Lawler has given her time, talent, energy and <br />enthusiasm to this community and its citizens for many <br />years; and <br />WHEREAS, Lou has served or is currently serving on committees and boards <br />too numerous to mention, but which range from Crime Stoppers to Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts <br />and everything in between, including being awarded a special Medal of Honor from the Vatican <br />in Rome at the Apostleship of the Sea World Conference held in Houston in September 1992; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, Lou and husband John "lack" Lawler have been married for 46 <br />years, and are parents of two children, Patsy Frey and Hal Lawler; and grandparents of four - <br />Todd Soloman and Jeremy Frey and Katy and John Lawler; and <br />WHEREAS, Lou has always put family first and community service next, and <br />has done so with grace and skill; and <br />WHEREAS, Lou is a loving Mother and a terrific Grandparent, a loyal and <br />kind friend to all who know her, and is a great asset to this community. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, NORMAN L. MALONE, MAYOR of the City <br />of La Porte, do hereby proclaim January 11, 1993, as <br />LOU LAWLER DAY <br />in the City of La Porte, to honor her for her many outstanding contributions. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the <br />Seal of the City to be affixed hereto, this the 11th day of January, 1993. <br />CITY OF LA PORTE <br />Norman L.
