0
December 29, 1992
CITY
PHONE (71 3) 471-5020
Honorable Mayor Norman Malone &
La Porte City Council
•
OF LA PORTE
• P. O. BOX 1 1 15 0 LA PORTE, TEXAS 77572
Re: Special Conditional Use Permit Request #SCU92-002
Dear Mayor Malone,
The La Porte Planning and Zoning Commission at its December 17, 1992, public hearing
and regular meeting considered Special Conditional Use Permit Request #SCU92-002. The
permit has been requested for the purpose of allowing Stone Castle Industries to operate
its business in an existing building located at 205 North 11th Street.
Stone Castle will manufacture a synthetic stone and mould it into ornaments and
architectural trim pieces. This type of business activity requires a Special Conditional Use
Permit when operated in a Light Industrial Zone.
The Planning and Zoning Commission, after considering this request during the public
hearing, has found the application to satisfy Zoning Ordinance prerequisites. The
Commission, by a unanimous vote of members present, has recommended that City Council
approve Special Conditional Use Permit #SCU92-002.
Respectfully Submitted,
Mrs. Betty Waters
Chairman, Planning and Zoning Commission
xc: Planning and Zoning Commission
Robert T. Herrera, City Manager
John Armstrong, Assistant City Attorney
