Council considered approving purchase of vehicle for Police <br />Department. <br />Motion was made by Councilperson Maxwell to purchase a <br />replacement vehicle from Ron Craft Chevrolet. Second by <br />Councilperson McLaughlin. The Motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 <br />nays. <br />Ayes: Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, McLaughlin, <br />Porter, Gay, Maxwell, Clarke and Mayor Malone. <br />Nays: None <br />10. Administrative reports. <br />City Manager Herrera advised Council there will be a meeting <br />in Austin on May 5 at 1:30 P.M. the 3rd Court of Appeals of <br />Travis County will be hearing a presentation both from Texas <br />Water Commission and Brent Ryan's firm and the firm <br />representing Houston Chemical Services. It will not be <br />necessary for the City of La Porte to have anyone in <br />attendance. Once the hearing is complete it may be 30 to 60 <br />day before the Court actually renders its final decision. <br />City Manager Herrera also reported this Saturday, May 8, there <br />is a Police Banquet and it will be held at the Recreation <br />Fitness Center starting at 7:00 P.M. <br />il. Council Action: Councilpersons Gay, Maxwell, Clarke, <br />Sutherland, Cooper, McLaughlin, Porter and Mayor Malone <br />brought items to Council's attention. <br />12. Executive Session: There was no executive session. <br />13.
