• <br />8. All off premise freestanding advertising signs shall be <br />spaced in intervals of not less than one thousand (1,000) <br />feet. <br />Section 10 - 1006 Subdivision Marketing Signs <br />1. For the purpose of marketing a recorded subdivision, one <br />(1) on premise freestanding sign of not more than one <br />hundred fifty (150) square feet for each road abutting <br />the respective subdivision shall be permitted, provided <br />that such sign shall not be placed within any required <br />yard nor within twenty-five (25) feet of any property <br />line abutting a street or road right-of-way, and further <br />provided that such sign shall not exceed twenty (20) feet <br />in height. <br />2. For the purpose of marketing a recorded subdivision, one <br />(1) off premise sign of not more than one hundred fifty <br />(150) square feet may be permitted for each recorded <br />subdivision in any zoning district. Such sign shall not <br />be placed within twenty-five (25) feet of any property <br />line and shall not exceed twenty (20) feet in height. <br />The permit for such sign shall expire, unless renewed, <br />two (2) years after the date of issuance of such permit, <br />and provided that each request for permit shall be <br />accompanied by a license and permit fee posted by the <br />respective sign hanger in the amount of three hundred <br />dollars (300.00) for the purpose of ensuring proper <br />location, maintenance, and removal of the respective <br />sign. <br />Section 10 - 1007 Permits <br />1. Any person desiring to erect or place a free standing, <br />attached or portable sign on any property shall first <br />apply to the Building Official for a permit. Permits are <br />not required for signs less than five (5) square feet in <br />area. <br />2. Any person applying to erect or place a free standing <br />sign on any property shall submit to the Building <br />Official the following information: <br />A. A survey of the property which indicates the <br />proposed sign location. <br />B. An engineered design for signs greater than 8 feet <br />in height. <br />Page 9 <br />
