Ordinance <br />SUNII~IARY & RECOMMENDATION <br />Summary <br />On June 14, 1993, City Council held a Public Hearing concerning <br />amendments to Zoning Ordinance 1501 of the City of La Porte as <br />related to Sections 3-100, 6-400 and 10-1000. During that hearing, <br />two major issues arose that merited further consideration. The <br />issues were on-premise real estate signs and off-premise real <br />estate signs. The ordinance amendments were tabled pending a <br />Workshop Meeting with the Planning and Zoning Commission. <br />On June 21, 1993, City Council and the Planning and Zoning <br />Commission met in a joint workshop session to discuss the issues. <br />As a result, two changes were proposed to deal with on-premise real <br />estate signs. <br />A. Section 10-1004 1.A. amended to read: <br />(6) On-premise real estate signs are allowed and shall <br />be exempt from all other provisions of Section 10- <br />1004. <br />B. Section 10-1006 title amended to read: <br />Subdivision Marketing Sictns <br />Recommendation <br />The staff recommends approval of Ordinance 1501-P with the proposed <br />amendments presented above. <br />Action Required by Council: <br />1. Approve a motion to reconsider Ordinance 1501-P. <br />2. Approve a motion to amend the proposed regulations as follows: <br />Amend Section 10-1004 1.A. to read: <br />(6) On-premise real estate signs are allowed and <br />shall be exempt from all other provisions of <br />Section 10-1004. <br />Amend Section 10-1006 title amended to read: <br />Section 10-1006 Subdivision Marketing Sictns <br />3.
