<br />MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CALL EMERGENCY EXECUTIVE SESSION OF THE <br />LA PORTE CITY COUNCIL <br />JULY 1, 1993 <br />1. The meeting was called to order at 6:02 P.M. <br />Members of City Council Present: Mayor Pro Tem Jerry Clarke, <br />Councilpersons Guy Sutherland, Mike Cooper, Bob Thrower, Bob <br />McLaughlin, Alton Porter, Deotis Gay and Jack Maxwell <br />Members of City Council Absent: Mayor Norman Malone <br />Members of City Staff Present: City Attorney Knox Askins <br />and City Secretary Sue Lenes <br />Others Present: Attorney Charles Dippel <br />2. Mayor Pro Tem Clarke convened meeting and Council went into <br />executive session at 6:03 P.M. as follows: <br />Executive Session - V.A.T.S. - ARTICLE 6252-17, SECTION 2(E), <br />(F), (G), (R) - (LEGAL, LAND ACQUISITION, PERSONNEL, AND <br />CONFERENCE(S) WITH EMPLOYEE(S) TO RECEIVE INFORMATION) <br />A. SECTION 2(E) - (LEGAL) <br />Meet with Special Counsel on Southern Ionics, Inc. <br />litigation <br />Council returned to the table at 6:56 P.M. no action taken <br />3.
