Council considered adopting ordinance authorizing and ratifying the offer of Industrial District agreements in the Battleground and Bayport Industrial Districts, for the seven year term commencing January 1, 1994. City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 93-1942 AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND RATIFYING THE OFFER OF INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AGREEMENTS IN THE BATTLEGROUND AND BAYPORT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICTS, FOR THE SEVEN YEAR TERM COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 1994; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made by Council~erson Porter to aDDrove Ordinance 93-1942 as read by the city Attorney. Second by Councilperson Sutherland. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays. Council considered adopting an ordinance directing the city's Planning Department to prepare a service plan that provides for the extension of municipal services to the area comprising the Battleground Industrial District and the Bayport Industrial District, proposed to be annexed by the City of La Porte. city Attorney read: ORDINANCE 93-1943 - AN ORDINANCE DIRECTING THE CITY'S PLANNING DEPARTMENT TO PREPARE A SERVICE PLAN THAT PROVIDES FOR THE EXTENSION OF MUNICIPAL SERVICES TO THE AREA COMPRISING THE BATTLEGROUND INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AND THE BAYPORT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT, PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. Motion was made by CouncilDerson McLauahlin to apDrove Ordinance 93-1943 as read by the city Attorney. Second by Councilperson Clarke. The motion carried, 9 ayes and 0 nays.
