e e Minutes Regular Meeting La Porte City council December 13, 1993, Page 5 City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 93-1956 - AN ORDINANCE FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY NO LONGER REQUIRE THE CONTINUED USE OF CERTAIN DRAINAGE AND/OR UTILITY EASEMENTS LOCATED IN A FORTY FOOT WIDE STRIP OF LAND IN HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, SAID STRIP OF LAND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE; VACATING AND ABANDONING SAID EASEMENTS TO HARRIS COUNTY, THE ABUTTING PROPERTY OWNER, IN CONSIDERATION OF HARRIS COUNTY'S RELOCATING THE CITY OF LA PORTE'S UTILITY LINES; CONTAINING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. Motion was made bv CouncilDerson Sutherland to aDDrove ordinance 93-1956 as read bv the city Attornev. Second by Councilperson Maxwell. The motion carried, 8 ayes and 0 nays. Ayes: councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell and Mayor Pro Tem Clarke. Nays: None 10. Consider approving ordinance authorizing the City Manager to extend a twenty year lease with D.E. Public Works Director Steve Gillett reviewed wi th Council information on the construction upgrade of Lift station No. 30. Director of Finance Jeff Litchfield reviewed with Council accounting procedures for this Capitol Improvement Projects.
