• <br />• <br />Office of the Mayor <br />., <br />TD1I <br />®~~rQ~~ : African American citizens have made significant <br />contributions throughout the years in art, politics, <br />literature, the sciences and other fields; a-rd <br />WHEREAS, it is important to recognize the many accomplishments of African <br />Americans throughout the history of our nation, and <br />WHEREAS, one of the greatest challenges facing humanity is the recognition <br />of the oneness of manki-rd and fair publicity of each raced contributions, and <br />WHEREAS, the churches and the citizens of the Ciry of La Porte, Texas, are <br />joining together in the observance of Black History Month to promote the course of the <br />brotherhood of man under God <br />NOW, THEREFORE, t, NORMAN L.
