Council considered approving an ordinance authorizing the <br />execution by the city of La Porte of Industrial District <br />Agreement with Houston Lighting and Power Company. <br /> <br />Louis Rigby, Director of Administrative Services, stated this <br />is a continuation of the Industrial District Agreement that <br />the City of La Porte has, and this is an addition to the ones <br />we have passed. <br /> <br />City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 93-IDA-23 - AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION BY THE CITY OF LA PORTE OF AN <br />INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT AGREEMENT WITH HOUSTON LIGHTING AND POWER <br />COMPANY, FOR THE TERM COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 1994, AND ENDING <br />DECEMBER 32, 2000; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made bY Council~erson Maxwell to oass Ordinance 93- <br />IDA-23 as oresented. Second by councilperson Clarke. Council considered an ordinance approving and authorizing a <br />lease agreement between the City of La Porte and Harris <br />County, for a public fishing pier at Sylvan Beach Park. <br /> <br />City Attorney read: ORDINANCE 94-1967 AN ORDINANCE <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A LEASE AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY <br />OF LA PORTE AND HARRIS COUNTY, FOR A PUBLIC FISHING PIER AT <br />SYLVAN BEACH PARK; MAKING VARIOUS FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN <br />MEETINGS LAW; PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br /> <br />Motion was made by Counciloerson McLauqhlin to aoorove <br />Ordinance 94-1967 as oresented.
