• <br />• <br />Off ice of the Mayor <br />!y <br />-.r <br />3 -.t <br />e zoo <br />®I�pYPFIl3 : It is important that all citizens of the City of La Porte <br />be aware of the importance of crime prevention <br />programs and the positive impact that their <br />participation can have on reducing crime in our <br />neighborhoods; and <br />WHEREAS, the La Porte Police Department and the Texas Gulf Coast <br />1. National Night Out program are sponsoring a special coast -to -coast community crime prevention <br />project on the evening of August 2, 1994, called "National Night Out",- and <br />WHEREAS, "National Night Out" provides an opportunity for the City of <br />La Porte to work together with hundreds of other communities across the county in support of <br />safer neighborhoods and to demonstrate the success of cooperative crime prevention efforts; and <br />WHEREAS, neighborhood spirit and cooperation is the theme of the 'Texas <br />Gulf Coast National Night Out"project and is also the key ingredient in helping the City of La <br />Porte Police Department to fight crime; and <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting and appropriate to recognize and commend the City <br />of La Porte Police Department and the Texas Gulf Coast National Night Out program on their <br />efforts to eliminate crime in all Texas Gulf Coast Communities. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, I, NORMAN L. MALONE, MAYOR of the City <br />of La Pone, do hereby proclaim Tiesday, August Z 1994, as <br />NATIONAL NIGHT OUT DAY <br />in the City of La Porte, and urge all citizens to be aware of the importance of crime prevention <br />programs and join together with hundreds of other communities in crime prevention efforts. <br />IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the <br />Seal of the City to be affixed hereto, this the 25th day of July, 1994. <br />CITY OF LA PORTE <br />Norman L.
