<br /> <br />e e <br />Office of the Mayor <br />~~~.:J...'~.~fo <br />E-<: ~ :~ <br />....~ :~ <br />O. . <br />. . <br />*'" ..,~ <br /> <br /> <br />rn;famafinn <br /> <br /> <br />4tttas : <br /> <br />The opening of the Fred Hartman Bridge marks a <br />historic milestone in the growth and development of <br />both the cities of Bay town and La Pone; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fred Hartman Bridge will provide economic development and <br />mobility enhancements to Bay town, La Pone and all of the Texas Gulf Coast; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fred Hartman Bridge will complete a vital link in an imponant <br />traffic anery in the Texas highway system; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fred Hartman Bridge with its double diamond design is one <br />of the largest cable-stayed bridges in the United States of America and has reached landmark <br />status on the Texas Gulf Coast. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, We, Mayor Pete C. Alfaro, City of Bay town and <br />Mayor Nonnan L. Malone, City of La Pone, respectively, do hereby proclaim Wednesday, <br />September 27, 1995, as <br /> <br />flffiDWffiTI~BRIDGEOmMNGDAY <br /> <br />and do hereby direct the attention of all Texans to the significance of this "Texas sized" project <br />and the benefits it will provide to our area. <br /> <br />IN WITNESS 'WHEREOF, we have hereunto set our hands and caused the <br />Seal of the City of Bay town and the Seal of the City of La Pone to be affixed hereto, this the <br />27th day of September, 1995. <br /> <br /> <br /><t <br />C1TY OF BAITOWN <br /> <br /> <br />&f:;/I:t:~~ <br /> <br />
