ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br /> <br />City Manager Robert T. Herrera reported the City received a letter from the Texas Department <br />of Transportation regarding the proposed Council visit to Austin on November 4th to discuss with <br />the Highway Commission funding for the State Highway 146 interchange. The letter is from the <br />Interim Director of Engineering for the Houston district, Mr. Steven E. Simmons. Mr. Simmons <br />indicated the funds for Highway 225 and 146 projects will be funded this year. Therefore, the <br />trip to Austin on November 4th is no longer necessary at this time. <br /> <br />15. COUNCIL ACTION <br /> <br />Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell and Mayor Malone <br />brought items to Council's attention. <br /> <br />16. EXECUTIVE SESSION - PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, <br />CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, AND 551.084, TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE, _ <br />(CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY, DELIBERATION REGARDING REAL <br />PROPERTY, DELIBERATION REGARDING PROSPECTIVE GIFI' OR DONATION, <br />PERSONNEL MATTERS, CONFERENCE WITH EMPLOYEES, DELIBERATION <br />REGARDING SECURITY DEVICES, OR EXCLUDING A WITNESS DURING <br />EXAMINATION OF ANOTHER WITNESS IN AN INVESTIGATION) <br /> <br />There was no executive session held. <br /> <br />17.
