<br />Minutes Regular Meeting <br />La Porte City Council <br />November 27, 1995, Page 4 <br /> <br />After Council discussion, Mayor Malone asked if anyone in the audience had questions. There being none, <br />Mayor Malone closed Workshop C at 9:08 P.M. Mayor Malone reconvened the Regular City Council <br />Meeting at 9:09 P.M. <br />9. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />Asst. City Manager John Joerns thanked staff who worked on the three workshop items tonight. Couple <br />of these are follow-up items from last years retreat where we told you we would be modernizing the Solid <br />Waste Ordinances. The planning concepts are something we have been dealing with for over a year. The <br />Code Enforcement item will receive some brushing up by staff on the intent and approach. We are very <br />serious about following Council's objectives and, meeting their goals in all of these areas. <br />10. COUNCIL ACTION <br />Councilpersons Sutherland, Cooper, Thrower, McLaughlin, Porter, Gay, Maxwell, and Mayor Malone <br />brought items to Council's attention. Mayor Malone announced that Bill Harry, the City of La Porte <br />nominee, was elected to the Board of Directors for Harris County Appraisal District, and Charles Garrison <br />was elected to represent the School Districts on that Board. <br />11. EXECUTIVE SESSION -PURSUANT TO PROVISION OF THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW, <br />CHAPTER 551.071 THROUGH 551.076, AND 551.084, TEXAS GOVERNMENT CODE, - <br />(CONSULTATION WITH ATTORNEY, DELIBERATION REGARDING REAL PROPERTY, <br />DELIBERATION REGARDING PROSPECTIVE GIRT OR DONATION, PERSONNEL MATTERS, <br />CONFERENCE WITH EMPLOYEES, DELIBERATION REGARDING SECURITY DEVICES, OR <br />EXCLUDING A WITNESS DURING EXAMINATION OF ANOTHER WITNESS IN AN <br />INVESTIGATION) <br />There were no items to be discussed in an executive session, therefore none was held. <br />12. CONSIDERATION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON ITEMS CONSIDERED IN EXECUTIVE <br />SESSION <br />There were no items to be considered in an executive session, therefore there was no action required for <br />item 12. <br />13.
