<br /> . e <br />Minutes Public Hearing <br />And Regular Meeting <br />La Porte City Council <br />November 11, 1996, Page 2 <br /> There was three La Porte citizens wishing to address Council. <br /> Jim Zoller, 907 Hackberry Ave, La Porte, addressed Council regarding Rezoning of Tracts 18B and 18F, <br /> Crescent View (better known as 2757 Old Hwy, 146), Mr, Zoller expressed his concern that the present <br /> re-zoning request emulates a previous request which was made in 1989, Mr, Zoller thinks, in the interest <br /> of improving and preserving I'&Ul'arty values of Old Hwy 146, the current zoning of the area should remain <br /> as R-l with some existing areas of Old Hwy 146 zoned as neighborhood commercial, Mr, Zoller said "I <br /> feel that the city would be regressing in the effort to improve the area of Old Hwy 146 if the City Council <br /> al'l'&'~!es this re-zoning request." <br /> Jerri D, Nettle, 1502 South 8th Street, La Porte, addressed Council regarding the property at 2757 Old <br /> Hwy 146, Mr, Nettle expressed his approval of the re-zoning for commercial business at that location, <br /> for the convenience of citizens in the area. <br /> Bernard Legrand, 3115 Layne Court, La Porte, addressed Council regarding the 1"& ~ I'my at 2757 Old Hwy <br /> 146, Mr. Legrand expressed his concerns for the area in general, and feared the area might returned to <br /> its pre-annexation status. <br />6.
