One of the permit conditions was that approval of the
proposed truck terminal (SIC #4231) be subject to that portion of 16th Street being
approved as a truck route. The property is located South of Fairmont Parkway and is not
on a designated truck route. Currently, 16th Street, from Barbour's Cut Blvd. South of
Fairmont Parkway is a designated truck route.
Boncosky Services has submitted a General Plan for the trucking operation which will be
considered at the April 17, 1997, Planning and Zoning Commission Meeting. If Council
concurs with staffs recommendation of adding a section of South 16th Street in
accordance with the approved Special Conditional Use Permit, then we would ask that
it be approved with the proposed addition of Underwood Road.
