Parties <br /> <br />This Imcrlocal Coope;ration Contract ("Comr:lct") is made and entercl into between the Tex.:ls <br />Department of Public Safety ("TDPS"), a poliliC3! subdivision of th~ State of Texas, and the <br />of , a local politic..1.1 subdivision of the Slate of <br /> <br />Texas. <br /> <br />H. Overview <br /> <br />The purpose of lhi:i contract is to impkmt:nt the provision;, of V.C.S, art. 6687d (Dclltal,of <br />Renewal or License for Failure to Apr-ear). The TDPS has autJlOrity to contract with a private <br />vendor ("the Vendor") pursuant to s...."'Ctiol1 5 01' Ihal article. . Utilizing the FTA System as a source of information, the TnpS will deny <br />renewal of a drivers license to a person whQ is the subject of an Ff A System entry. <br /> <br />Each local political subdivision cmuracting wid} the TDPS wj1l pay monies to the Vendor, <br />based on a fee certain established by !.his Conu-act and fund~ from fees paid by persons who <br />are the subject of an entry in the IT A System. The TDPS will make no direct or indirect <br />payments to the Vendor.
