Karen <br />Wheeler Hall accepted the proclamation. OxyChem donated One Thousand <br />Dollars ($1,000) to La Porte Independent School District in the name of Karen <br />Wheeler Hall. <br /> <br />5. PETITIONS, REMONSTRANCES, COMMUNICATIONS, AND <br />CITIZENS AND TAX PAYERS WISHING TO ADDRESS COUNClL. <br /> <br />8iU Scott, 1802 Lomax School Road, La Porte, addressed Council concerning <br />the following issues: <br /> <br />His concerns that open records request for audiotape of conversation between <br />Mr. Scott and Assistant City Attorney John Armstrong are not being met and <br />dealt with properly. <br />His concerns regarding legal fees paid to Askins and Armstrong law firm. <br />He advised Council that he intends to involve the District Attorney and Texas <br />A ttorney General. <br />He advised Council of plans to get the newspaper involved. <br /> <br />Mr. Scott also presented an outline to Council referencing the above concerns. <br />Mr. Scott requested to speak an additional five (5) minutes under Section 2.12 of the <br />Zoning Ordinance or Ordinance 1435. Mayor Malone advised Mr. Scott that we are <br />not granting an additional five minutes and he would need to stop speaking when <br />the timer went off. <br /> <br />Micheal Hyde, 3834 Pecan Circle, La Porte, addressed Council concerning the <br />following issues: <br /> <br />Cliff Hyde Flying Service lease. Mr. Hyde requested Council to consider not <br />requiring Cliff Hyde Flying Service to move their building out of Park 77 air space <br />with a new 1e.ase. <br /> <br />6. PUBLIC HEARING - TO CONSIDER APPROVAL OF SPECIAL <br />CONDITIONAL USE PERM.IT (SCU) PERMIT #SCU97-001. THE <br />APPLILCANT'S REQUEST IS FOR AN APARTMENT COMPLEX <br />LOCATED IN A PLANNED UNIT DEVELOPMENT. <br />
